The Kairotic Drone Fishing Backbone is our go-to rig, built, refined, and proven over two years of rigorous New Zealand fishing. This is the exact continuous-trace setup we run ourselves, designed specifically for drone anglers who want a rig that deploys perfectly clean and comes back the same way.

Product Overview

Continuous-Trace Strength: Built from 200lb mono mainline in one continuous length with zero joins, minimizing weak points.
Integrated Delta-Flex Wing: Comes equipped with a Patent-Pending Delta-Flex wing to lift your sinker and trace clear of the seabed the second you start your retrieve.

Key Features

5 Independent Hook Stations: Each station provides 300mm of travel between the crimps. This gives the fish plenty of room to run, load up the rod, and self-set the hook securely.
Zero Line Twist: Outfitted with 5 heavy-duty barrel swivels (one per hook station) to completely kill line twist when big fish are spinning under load.
Kairotic Trace Winder Included: Arrives neatly pre-wound on our custom trace winder for effortless, tangle-free deployment on the beach and organized storage at home.
Ready to Customise: Hooks and sinkers are not included, giving you the flexibility to clip on your preferred hook sizes and target sinker weights.

How the Built-In Delta-Flex Protects Your Rig

By pairing this backbone with the Delta-Flex Trace Lifter, you get a complete system that fights snags for you. When your drone drops the rig, it sits flat on the bottom. But the moment you engage your reel, the back-weighted, flexible wing catches the water pressure and acts like an underwater kite. It instantly climbs toward the surface, lifting all 5 hook stations and your heavy sinker clean out of the rocks and kelp—meaning you spend less time dragging the bottom and more time landing fish
